DNA sample collection instructions

Important!

• Collect the DNA sample at least 1 hour after eating, drinking, brushing your teeth and smoking.
• Use only the sample collection equipment provided in this package.
• Please follow the precise instructions below for collecting the cheek swab sample.

[[instructionDetailTag|1|STEP|Open the package from the side where the tip of the swab is green. The cotton-covered end will remain on the closed side of the package.|#|]]

[[instructionDetailTag|2|STEP|Carefully remove the cotton swab from the package. Avoid touching the cotton-covered part with your fingers. Do not place the cotton swab on a table or surface.|#|]]

[[instructionDetailTag|3|STEP|Rub the cotton swab against the inside of your cheeks and the inner parts of your upper and lower lips for at least 2 minutes. Do not touch the cotton end of the swab with your hands.|#|]]

[[instructionDetailTag|4|STEP|Open the tube with the preservative solution. Place the cotton end of the swab into the tube with the liquid. Break the bottom part of the swab into the tube from approximately 2 cm above the bottom. Do not touch the cotton end of the swab with your fingers.|#|]]

[[instructionDetailTag|5|STEP|Close the tube. Avoid exposing the sample to direct sunlight.|#|]]

[[instructionDetailTag|6|STEP|Mail the envelope to the nearest SmartPost machine within 3 days. Keep the sample at room temperature.|#|]]
